Chiropody/Podiatry Treatments
Podiatry (also known as Chiropody) is the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and other disorders of the feet. Podiatrists work to improve the mobility, independence and the quality of life for their patients by providing preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of problems affecting the feet, ankles and lower limbs.
Podiatrists are highly skilled health professionals who have been trained to prevent, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate abnormal conditions of the lower limbs. They also prevent and correct deformity, keep people mobile and active, relieve pain and treat infections.
Melior Clinics’ resident Podiatrist is Angela Foster M.Inst.Ch.P who visits the well-being clinic at 10 St Peters Road, Huntingdon PE29 7AA on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Angela qualified as a chiropodist/podiatrist at the School of Chiropody and Podiatric Medicine at Maidenhead in 1991 and has over 20 years of experience in private practice. Her specialist interest is in lower limb bio-mechanical assessment, using mobilisation and manipulation techniques and recommending and supplying orthotics if appropriate. This can help with conditions causing pain, such as flat foot, corns, metatarsalgia and heel pain.
