Lustre Pure Light is a small, hands free, rechargeable product with slim flexible therapy heads, which target problem areas of acne. The device is portable and treatment is delivered while the product is worn, leaving users free to get on with their everyday life. The technology has been clinically proven to eliminate the bacteria that causes spots and acne whilst also being gentle on the skin, offering a completely safe solution for acne patients.

Visible blue light at a wavelength of 420nm does not contain any ultraviolet light (which can damage the skin) but is effective in killing P. acnes, the bacteria which causes acne. The bacteria that cause acne produce a chemical called porphyrin. When blue light at a specific wavelength is applied to this porphyrin, it becomes active. This active porphyrin has been clinically proven to destroy the bacteria.

Lustre Pure Light is exclusively available from skin care specialists including Melior Clinics and has been designed to work alongside existing therapies (facial cleansers etc) or as an alternative to prescription medication or creams to treat acne.
