What is a Tear Trough Treatment?
The tear trough is the area immediately beneath the eye, running from the nose and around under the eye. Due to ageing, and as the hyaluronic acid content of the skin diminishes, this pocket can appear sunken and hollow.
A tear trough treatment using dermal fillers can replenish lost volume, adding plumpness and restoring natural contours. Dermal fillers, including Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse are carefully injected above the bone of the eye socket. This is then gently massaged into the socket beneath the eye and around the fatty tissue, which can plump up the hollows and blending into the cheekbones
Dermal Filler Treatments
Dermal filler tear trough treatments are highly specialised and should only be performed by a medically qualified practitioner with relevant experience. Visit Dr Tim Beazleigh at Melior Clinics in his London Botox clinic for a free consultation to see how a tear trough treatment with Juvederm can help restore youthful contours to your eye area.
At the time of writing this article tear trough treatments cost a maximum of £550 and there are minimum side effects, including possible bruising or swelling. The cost is significantly less than the surgical alternative and there is the added benefit of none of the associated surgical risks.
