Botox London
Antiwrinkle botox injections and medical botox treatments
Welcome to Melior Clinics, botox specialists in London.
From our clinic in the heart of Harley Street, our team of qualified medical professionals will help you achieve natural-looking botox rejuvenation.
We also provide expert botox treatment for conditions including migraines, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), jaw shaping, extreme blushing and Bell’s palsy.
Beyond botox, you can also visit our private Harley Street clinic for dermal fillers, lip fillers, skin boosters, peels and skincare treatments.
Botox antiwrinkle injections – areas we can treat
Botox injections can be used to achieve a wide range of antiaging results
Botox for forehead lines
One of the most popular botox requests at our London clinic is to minimise the appearance of horizontal lines across our patients’ foreheads. Botox is used to reduce the muscle activity that causes these lines and winkles, such as frowning and raising the eyebrows. This relaxes your furrowed brow, while retaining some movement for a natural look.
Before and after botox for forehead lines
Botox for frown/glabellar lines
Glabellar lines, often called 11s because of their parallel appearance, are short vertical lines between the eyebrows. They are caused by repetitive facial movements, in particular frowning. Botox has been shown to be a safe and effective treatment to reduce frown lines.
Our London clinic treats frown lines by relaxing the muscles in the skin of the glabella to soften the wrinkles.
Before and after botox for frown lines
Botox brow lift
Designed for people with low or heavy brows, this botox treatment raises the height of our patients’ eyebrows by up to 1mm. It works by relaxing the muscles underneath the eyebrows to lessen the extent to which they pull the brows down.
Botox for crow’s feet/laughter lines
Crow’s feet are the fine lines and wrinkles that fan out from the edges of our eyes towards our temples. The skin around the eyes is thinner and, as we age, collagen and elastin naturally decrease. These factors make the eye area more susceptible to wrinkles.
We carefully reduce muscle activity in this area to soften existing crow’s feet, and prevent more from forming.
Botox for bunny lines
These wrinkles start near the inner corner of the eye and extend downward and inward onto the nose. Bunny lines are so-called because they resemble the twitching movement of a rabbit’s nose.
Depending on your facial anatomy, when you smile or laugh these wrinkles can appear. At our London botox clinic we gently relax bunny lines to improve their appearance.
Botox for drooping nose
Where a drooping nose tip is caused by ageing, or by the tightening of your muscles when you speak or smile, treatment at our botox clinic is the ideal solution.
Our practitioners will gently inject botox at the base of your nose to relax the depressor muscles, so they stop pulling your nose tip downwards.
Botox for nasal flaring
While everyone’s nostrils flare a little when they smile or laugh, for some people they remain noticeably widened even when their face is at rest.
At our London botox clinic we carefully relax the muscles that cause nostrils to flare, reducing their activity to slim the appearance of the patient’s lower nose.
Botox for smokers’ lines (perioral lines)
As we age, and collagen and elastin decrease, there is a reduction in the fullness of our lips and the surrounding skin. This can cause fine lines above the top lip, and sometimes below the bottom lip, called perioral lines. These are also known as “smoker’s lines” because they commonly form as a result of frequent lip-pursing when smoking.
Treatment at our clinic gently relaxes the muscles used to make the pursing expression, to smooth out the skin. For deeper lines, dermal fillers can be additionally used to achieve a subtle plumping effect.
Botox for a gummy smile
At our London clinic we offer botox injections for your top lip to very slightly relax the muscles. As a result, your upper lip line will lower a little, so when you smile you won’t reveal your gum line.
Botox lip flip
A botox lip flip at our London clinic involves carefully injecting botox into your orbicularis oris muscle (also called the “kissing” muscle) which is the muscle you use to purse or close your lips.
As a result of treatment, your top lip will protrude slightly more, giving it a fuller appearance. Our patients often have lip fillers in conjunction with their botox lip flip.
Botox for a downturned mouth (marionette lines)
As we age, skin can sag downwards, causing folds to appear, such as marionette lines. These are vertical lines that stretch from the corners of the mouth down the chin.
At our clinic we gently and effectively relax the muscles which pull down the corners of your mouth and accentuate the appearance of marionette lines. Dermal fillers can be used in conjunction with botox to maximise the improvement.
Botox for chin dents/dimples
Botox is an ideal treatment for patients who exhibit a chin dimple when they make an expression, for example a “sulky” face. Botox injections at our London clinic will gently relax the muscles which cause the chin dent to appear, reducing or removing it.
If the dimple is still present when the patient’s face is at rest, we’ll often treat this with a combination of botox and dermal fillers. Your practitioner will advise you on the best course of treatment for your particular circumstances.
Botox jawline shaping
We use botox at our London clinic to gently reshape overly square or masculine-looking jaws. This unwanted squareness is often the result of an enlarged masseter jaw muscle. The botox reduces the activity of this muscle, relaxing the jaw and softening its shape.
Botox for platysmal band reduction (neck botox)
The platysma muscle is a wide, thin sheet of muscle, which spans from the upper chest upwards through the front of your neck, attaching to your lower face. As this muscle contracts through talking, eating and facial expressions, two strips called ‘platysmal bands’ can form on the neck.
Targeted injections at our botox clinic release the tension in the platysma muscle to soften these bands and rejuvenate the appearance of the neck.
Watch Dr Tim treat platysmal bands with botox
Baby botox
Baby botox treatment at isn’t about treating a specific area, rather it relates to injecting very small amounts of botox to mildly improve wrinkles, rather than eradicate them. As a result, you retain almost all your facial expressions.
It’s a popular treatment for our London patients seeking a very natural-looking result and also for younger patients who want to prevent wrinkles forming.
Botox for men (brotox)
Male botox, or brotox as it’s also known, is just as effective as botox for women. For example, research into the use of botox for reducing men’s glabellar lines has demonstrated both its efficacy and safety.
Our London practitioners are experts at ensuring the correct amount of botox is used, taking into account the patient’s musculature and desired results.
Real patients, real results
Before and after botox antiwrinkle injections
Medical botox injections – conditions we can help with
In addition to offering antiwrinkle botox at our London clinic, we also use botox to treat these medical conditions
Botox hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) treatment
Botox is a proven, safe and effective treatment for hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), which can take minutes to administer and with benefits that can last for months.
At our clinic, we inject small doses of botox in a grid-pattern to the affected areas including underarms, hands, feet and groin. This blocks the nerve signals that supply the sweat glands, which prevents them from producing sweat.

Botox migraine treatment
In a study of chronic migraines in adults, it was shown that botox injections significantly reduced the total number of days that migraines occurred. After 12 months, 70% of those treated with botox had less than half of the number of headaches they had originally experienced.
We offer botox for migraines to help manage the symptoms associated with chronic migraines such as headaches, nausea and dizziness.
Botox masseter jaw reduction
The masseter muscle is a major muscle within the jaw. It is responsible for chewing and it is also associated with teeth grinding and clenching. An enlarged masseter muscle can result in a wide or square jaw, which some patients feel is not proportionate or desirable for their face shape.
Treatment at our London botox clinic, which is sometimes called jaw botox, reduces the physical mass of the masseter muscle to make it less prominent. The result is a softer, more oval facial profile.
Botox for extreme blushing
Blushing is the result of increased blood flow to blood vessels that dilate too readily. It can occur for several reasons such as rosacea and the menopause, but for some people it can become a problem that impacts their quality of life.
Botox has the ability to block nerves signals to muscles. Injections of botox at our London clinic work by disrupting the nerve signals which trigger the blood vessels to dilate. This achieves a significant improvement in skin reddening.
Botox for Bell’s palsy
Bell’s palsy is a temporary facial condition causing weakness or an inability to move one side of the face. The symptoms of Bell’s palsy can include facial drooping, drooling, ear pain, an inability to shut one eye and the loss of your sense of taste. If you think that you or someone else is experiencing these symptoms and may be having a stroke, dial 999 immediately.
Botox treatment for Bell’s palsy is available at our London botox clinic. Botox is effective at improving the symptoms of Bell’s palsy, which include facial asymmetry and unwanted facial movements (also known as synkinesis).
About botox treatment at our London clinic
Who can have botox?
Botox is a popular choice for women and men of all ages. However, there are some cases when treatment at our London botox clinic may not be possible.
We reserve the right to refuse treatment when we feel it is medically unsafe or inappropriate.
How old do you need to be to have botox treatment?
You need to be 18 years or older to have botox without consent from your parent/guardian.
Can you have botox if you are pregnant or breast feeding?
No, if you are pregnant or breast feeding you should not have botox injections.
Can you have botox if you have an infection?
If you have an infection in the area to be injected, it is unlikely we will be able to treat you.
Can you have botox if you’re on medication?
If you are on any medication, please ensure you disclose this to your practitioner prior to your treatment.
What happens when you come for botox at our London clinic?
When you arrive at our luxurious London botox clinic you’ll meet your practitioner and discuss the results you’re looking for. There’s plenty of time to ask questions, which can be particularly helpful if it’s your first visit.
If you, and our practitioner, are happy for the treatment to go ahead, then you will lie back on a couch while they administer the injections.
Your botox injections will generally take around 10 minutes but please allow 20 to 30 minutes for your full appointment. Most people experience little or no pain from the injections.
You may have a little redness at the site of each injection, but this should go away within a few days.

Who will administer the botox injections?
At our London botox clinic you will only receive botox injections from a registered doctor, dentist or nurse who has been fully trained in using botox and is Save Face accredited.
Our botox clinic in London is also registered with the Care Quality Commission, who regulate the services of healthcare providers across the UK.
How much botox will be injected?
This varies considerably depending on the patient and their required outcome. For example, more muscular patients may require a higher dosage of botox to achieve the same results as patients with a slighter build.
All the botox practitioners at our London clinic are medical doctors, dentists or nurses and will expertly assess the amount of botox required. We always err on the side of caution, because once injected botox cannot be removed. Therefore, we offer a free top-up at your review appointment if the effects aren’t as visible as you’d hoped they would be.
What aftercare is needed following my botox treatment?
You’ll receive full aftercare instructions during your appointment at our London botox clinic, and your practitioner will be happy to answer any questions you have.
For some treatments, such as antiwrinkle botox, your practitioner will show you how to gently exercise the facial muscles to optimise your final results.
One of the key things to remember is that you’ll need to avoiding lying down or bending down excessively for three hours after your injections. You should also avoid vigorous exercise, facials, facial massage, steam rooms or saunas for 24 hours after your botox treatment at our London clinic.
How quickly will I see the results of my botox injections?
The botox injections will start working after three to five days. It can take up to two weeks for the muscles to gradually relax and achieve the final results.
Botox reviews and top-up appointments
Once the botox has fully taken effect, we offer a free review and top-up appointment. We want to ensure that you are completely happy with the results of our work.
How long does botox last?
The benefits of your botox treatment at our London clinic will last for between three and six months. This can vary considerably between patients due to different metabolic rates and musculature.
The effects of botox peak at around two to three months after treatment and then start to wear off gradually.
Patients who have regular botox treatments over a number of years usually find that they can go longer between treatments than when they started to use botox.
What brand of botox is used at our London clinic?
We currently use Azzulure. All botox brands are made from the same serotypes of botox (A and B), but each has a slightly different formulation.

Botox FAQs
The essential information about botox
The Clostridium botulinum bacterium (botox) was originally described back in 1820, and first grown in a laboratory in 1895 by Émile van Ermengem. He tested the botox on animals and discovered that it caused muscle paralysis.
Almost 100 years later, in 1977, botox was developed as a treatment for strabismus (eye misalignment) and blepharospasm (eye twitches), gaining FDA approval in 1989. Since then, botox has gone on to be approved for many more medical conditions and aesthetic treatments.
Botox has a relaxing effect on muscles. When it’s used facially to reduce wrinkles, it’s actually reducing the activity of the muscles which make facial expressions, allowing the skin to gradually smooth out.
Botox is a poison (Clostridium botulinum bacterium to be precise), so it’s understandable that some people are concerned about using it. However, so long as it is administered by an appropriately trained healthcare professional in a safe, clinical setting, then it is perfectly safe. When you receive botox injections at our CQC registered, Save Face accredited London clinic, they will always be carried out by a fully trained and qualified doctor, dentist or nurse.
You may experience a little redness at the site of your botox injections and, occasionally, a little bruising.
A few patients report a headache or flu-like symptoms for 24 hours after treatment, but this is rare.
If your botox injections were near to the muscles which control your eyelids or eyebrows, there’s a small chance you may experience slight drooping for some weeks after your injections. If this happens, please contact your practitioner immediately as they may be able to remedy the situation, for example by using eye drops or with additional botox injections to relax the opposing muscles and balance out the effect.
Allergic reactions or serious side effects are incredibly rare. If you do have any concerns at all after your treatment, please contact your practitioner. If you experience blurred or double vision you should also contact your GP. If you received neck botox and develop any breathing difficulties, seek immediate medical attention.
If you wish to report any side effects, you can do so through the NHS Yellow Card Scheme.
While extremely rare, yes it is possible to be allergic to botox. If you notice any of the following symptoms after your botox injections at our London clinic you should seek immediate medical attention:
- Itching or swelling around the injection site.
- An unexplained rash.
- Severe dizziness.
- Any difficulties breathing.
- Any other serious and unexplained medical symptoms.
No, once you’ve had your treatment you will need to wait for your body to naturally remove the botox.
The practitioners at our London clinic always err on the side of caution and inject a little less botox than might be needed. You can then receive a free top-up treatment at your review appointment if the results are not strong enough.
We use a very fine needle and the injections only go just under the skin, so most people experience little or no discomfort. For some botox treatments in more sensitive areas, such as hyperhidrosis treatment on the feet, your practitioner will take additional steps to ensure your comfort.
If you are feeling at all nervous about your treatment, please tell your practitioner so they can discuss the options with you.
You shouldn’t have any pain after treatment and bruising is unlikely, although small bruises at the site of the botox injections are possible. The injected areas may also look a little red. Any bruising or redness will fade within a few days.
It takes a few days for your botox injections to start taking effect in your muscles and a few weeks before you see the optimum result. Exact timescales will vary between patients and depending on the type of botox treatment you had.
When you’ve had repeated treatments at our London botox clinic for a couple of years, you should find that the results actually last longer and you can allow bigger gaps between your appointments.
However, after a more lengthy period of time (or if you have your injections too frequently), your body can develop antibodies which resist the effects of botox. If this happens you may be able to increase your dosage to retain your results, however we may advise that you take a break from botox to “reset” your body.
This is an occasional side effect of botox when injected near the muscles which control your eyebrow or eyelid movement, due to the botox dispersing a little after it’s been injected.
Any drooping should resolve within four to six weeks. During this period your botox practitioner may recommend a solution such as eye drops, or botox injections to target the opposing muscles and counteract the drooping effect.
Yes, many younger people are turning to botox as a way of preventing facial wrinkles from ever forming. By reducing your muscle activity, for example when you squint on a sunny day, you can prevent wrinkles. Many of our younger patients opt for “baby botox”, which involves a minimal dose of botox to relax wrinkles while retaining full facial movement.
This is a very individual decision and can vary hugely depending on factors such as your skin type and lifestyle.
Many people are now choosing to start “baby botox” in their twenties and thirties. This scaled down treatment at our London clinic reduces the strength of your facial expressions without limiting movement, so wrinkles don’t have an opportunity to form.
While the popularity of botox in younger generations is growing, most people start in their forties or fifties when they notice a visible increase in facial wrinkles.
Botox is a prescription medicine, which means that an appropriately trained medical professional must prescribe it to you. However, once it has been prescribed, there are no controls over who can administer the injections, which can carry great risks.
At our clinic, your botox injections will only be done by fully trained and registered medical doctors, dentists or nurses.
