We are pleased to announce that we now offer podiatry treatments at our health and beauty clinic in Huntingdon. Podiatry (also known as chiropody) is the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and other disorders of the feet. Podiatrists work to improve the mobility, independence and the quality of life for their patients by providing preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of problems affecting the feet, ankles and lower limbs.
Podiatrists are highly skilled healthcare professionals registered with the Health and Care Professions Council who have been trained to prevent, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate abnormal conditions of the lower limbs. They also prevent and correct deformity, keep people mobile and active, relieve pain and treat infections.
Kaseem graduated in 1999 from University College Northampton with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in ‘Podiatry’. He has twenty years experience working both for the NHS and privately and has gained much experience in a wide variety of clinical specialisms including: nail surgery; biomechanics; sports injuries; diabetes; rheumatology and paediatrics.
The average person walks the equivalent of five times around the earth in a lifetime, and when running, around ten times your body weight in pressure is put through your joints. At both the St Ives and Huntingdon Chiropody clinics, Kaseem takes the business of foot care very seriously. Chiropodists (podiatrist means the same) are highly skilled professionals trained to prevent, diagnose, treat and rehabilitate abnormal and painful conditions of the feet and lower limbs.
