ZO 3 Step Peel

This peel is suitable for most skin types; you will receive a consultation before your first treatment to check it is right for you.

If you have active cold sores, herpes simplex or warts on your face then you may need to delay treatment until these are resolved.

You should not have chemical skin peels if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

You will receive an initial consultation to discuss the treatment and provide you with skin care products. You’ll need to use the products for two to three weeks before the peel.

The peel itself takes 30 to 40 minutes, however you should allow an hour if it’s your first ZO 3 Step Peel treatment as you will need a longer consultation.

It will take one to two weeks for the redness to ease.

You should avoid direct sun exposure, heat (eg saunas) and heavy exercise for 48 hours after your treatment.

For two weeks after treatment you should only use the recommended products and ensure that you apply sun protection of at least 30SPF.

Some redness and shedding or flaking of the skin is likely after the treatment, so it’s important to protect your skin during this period.

You may need more than one treatment to see the optimum results, depending on your skin’s tolerance level, with three to four weeks between treatments.

We recommend repeating the ZO 3 Step Peel treatment two to three times a year to maintain the benefits

Step 1

The peel solution is applied. This is a blend of salicylic acid, trichloracetic acid and lactic acid. These work together to remove dead cells from the outer layer of your skin’s epidermis.

Step 2

Once the peel solution has worked its magic, it is removed and a retinol-rich cream is applied. This stimulates collagen production and cellular renewal.

Step 3

The final step is to reward the skin with a calming cream. This rapidly relieves skin irritation and reduces redness. It also hydrates the skin and provides a protective layer.
