Botox for migraines – London
Botox has been approved as a preventative treatment for chronic migraine headaches in the UK by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
Clinical studies show that botox injections can reduce the frequency and severity of migraine symptoms such as headaches, nausea and dizziness.
By gently and temporarily relaxing muscles in specific areas of the forehead, scalp, neck and shoulders, botox interrupts the nerve connections linked to migraine pain.
Alongside its muscle-relaxing effects, botox also blocks certain pain signals to the brain, making it an effective option for patients living with chronic migraines.
