The Obagi Blue Peel RADIANCE contains salicylic acid. People have known about its anti-inflammatory properties since Roman times – when salicylic acid-rich willow bark was used to ease pain and fever. In modern times, we’ve also discovered its ability to remove dead cells from the outer layer of the skin, unclogging pores and reducing inflammation.

Who can have this treatment?
This peel is suitable for most skin types; you will receive a consultation before your first treatment to check it is right for you.
If you have active cold sores, herpes simplex or warts on your face then you may need to delay treatment until these are resolved.
You should not have chemical skin peels if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
How long does the treatment take?
You will receive an initial consultation to discuss the treatment and provide you with skin care products. You’ll need to use the products for two to three weeks before the peel.
The peel itself takes 30 minutes, however you should allow 45 minutes if it’s your first Obagi Blue Peel treatment, as you will need a longer consultation.
How much downtime is there afterwards?
It will take two to three days for the redness to ease.
How many treatments should I have?
A series of four to six weekly or fortnightly peels provides the best overall results.
