CACI

CACI facial and eye treatments deliver tiny electrical impulses into your skin. These microcurrents re-educate your muscles, increase blood flow and stimulate collagen and elastin production. This lifts and tightens your skin for a refreshed, rejuvenated appearance.

Our Super CACI treatment revitalises your skin with a “non-surgical facelift”. It can also be used to tackle specific conditions such as sun damage, acne scarring and other blemishes.

Our Ultimate Eyes treatment uses the power of CACI, combined with a deeply nourishing eye mask, to minimise bags, fine lines and dark circles.

What is CACI treatment like?

Man receiving a facial CACI treatment

CACI systems emit tiny electrical impulses called ‘microcurrents’, at ultra-low frequencies.  These work in harmony with the body to stimulate collagen production and skin tissue regeneration.

The electrical impulses are combined with muscle re-education techniques, which trigger a stretch reflex response in the facial muscles. This has the effect of either relaxing facial muscles that are over tense, or tightening facial muscles that have lost firmness.

CACI – your questions answered

What is the science behind CACI?

Cotton tipped CACI “wands” are gently pressed against your skin. A tiny electrical impulse (less than one millionth of an amp), passes through the wands and into your facial muscles. This microcurrent mirrors your body’s own bioelectrical field.

The CACI treatment re-educates the muscles, either to length or shorten. For example, lengthening forehead muscles can reduce frown lines, while shortening cheek and jaw muscles can lift sagging skin.

An additional benefit of CACI treatment is that it reinvigorates the circulation in your skin and boosts the production of collagen and elastin. In doing this it tackles specific conditions such as acne scars and sun damage.

Does the CACI treatment hurt?

No. You might feel a slight tingling sensation, but that’s all.

What areas can CACI be used on?

CACI can be used to rejuvenate the face and neck. Specific issues it can help with include smoker’s lips, bags under the eyes, glabellar lines (11s) and many other fine lines and wrinkles.

How long does the treatment take?

Our Super CACI facial treatment takes 75 minutes. The Ultimate Eyes treatment takes 45 minutes.

How many treatments will I need?

Most patients notice visible results after one treatment. However, the effects of CACI are cumulative, so we recommend a course of 10 treatments for Super CACI or 6 treatments for Ultimate Eyes, to achieve the optimal results.

We generally provide the first course of treatment weekly, then moving to monthly maintenance treatments.

How long will the benefits last?

After your initial course of treatment you will need an additional ‘top up’ treatment every four to six weeks.

Can CACI help with Bell’s palsy?

Yes, CACI is widely used to treat Bell’s palsy, in fact that’s what it was originally developed for. The microcurrent technology is also used medically for pain control and wound healing.
