We explore Dr Kaywaan’s tailored approach to this transformative result for a very happy client.
Madeleine is a 72 year old teacher who wanted to find the best way to address the facial lines that were getting her down.
Having been initially told, by other clinics, that a surgical facelift would be the solution, she was delighted when her consultation with Dr Kaywaan opened her eyes to a more gentle, tailored approach that would surpass all her expectations.
Here we share Maddy’s journey to 10 years younger, explaining how each treatment contributes to healthier, rejuvenated and revitalised skin.
Restoring vitality from the inside out
Dr Kaywaan’s ’10 years younger’ full face rejuvenation programme approaches treatment in layers. This means that the starting point is to create the right foundation.
Firstly, skin is deeply nourished and hydrated to restore its health and vitality.
From this point, carefully targeted treatments enhance each patient’s unique facial features. The aim is to achieve overall rejuvenation that is visible, yet incredibly natural.
Dr Kaywaan’s first step was to stimulate natural replenishment of Maddy’s skin through gentle, yet transformative radiofrequency microneedling treatment.
Potenza radiofrequency microneedling combines ultra fine needles with heat, to penetrate the top layer of the skin.
The treatment rejuvenates the skin in several ways, through an overall lifting and tightening, and the smoothing of fine lines.
Botox – face and neck
The next part of Maddy’s rejuvenation journey was to treat her skin with targeted botox injections.
These have the dual function of decreasing the appearance of deeper ‘expression’ lines, and also preventing them from recurring.
Botox acts on the skin by temporarily relaxing muscles through blocking specific nerve signals. This careful reduction in muscle activity reduces the lines and winkles caused by repetitive facial expression, such as frowning or pursing the lips.
Neck botox is particularly beneficial for patients with visible platysmal bands, which are two strips of muscle that run vertically down both sides of the neck. When injected into carefully targeted areas in the platysma muscle, botox releases the tension in the muscles resulting in smoother skin and a more youthful neck.
Dr Kaywaan wanted to make the most of Maddy’s natural features such as her high cheek bones and the shape of her lips. With strategically placed dermal fillers he was able to restore lost volume to Maddy’s skin and smooth out deeper wrinkles.
Because they are formulated from hyaluronic acid, dermal fillers are also extremely hydrating for the skin, leaving it feeling plumped and revitalised.
Combining nutrients such as hyaluronic acid and amino acids, skin boosters are an injectable treatment that nourish the skin from within.
Dr Kaywaan used skin boosters to significantly improve the overall texture of Maddy’s skin, reducing the effects of ageing, such as dryness, crepey skin and fine lines.
The final part of Maddy’s treatment was to exfoliate her skin, leaving it glowing with health.
During a professional peel, specially formulated natural acids are applied to the skin to achieve deep exfoliation, which reveals rejuvenated, brightened skin.
We believe peels can be the mother of good skincare. They can reduce the signs of ageing as well as address specific skin issues such as repairing sun damage, and reducing the appearance of acne and scarring.
